Welcome to Bonaire Media.

In 1992 Martin and Michael Fewings (an old Television friend with common goals) formed a TV and Music services business. Strike Force began rise as one of the major organisations within the Film & Television Production Services sector over the next few years.

Martin felt the need to return to the music industry in 2000 to pursue the industries need to embrace new technologies for proper exploitation of content. Advising a US content licensing organisation prior to European rollout and developing an encryption and digital rights management delivery system to combat the likes of Napster. Bonaire Media Management was born.

Whilst developing the system he has looked after affairs of a few up and coming artists and some old favourites (Sparks, Paul Rutherford from Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Racey and Paul Humphreys from OMD and the biggest rock band in the world Globus), and continued to utilise his immense knowledge of music, film and television by advising productions on production plans as well as developing relationships with artists and their representatives to obtain best price synchronisation rights of music.

Utilising his TV and Film contacts, he proceeded to build a production library which included the worlds most successful library for movie marketing (Immediate Music). He provided his music for up to 80% of Blockbuster movies and continues to be one of the foremost independent suppliers of music in the market today.

Public demand for the music used in these campaigns caused major problems due to file sharing. This was answered by re-recording the music and turning them into full blown songs with vocals, Globus (literally the world’s largest rock band with 180 musicians on record and 130 on stage).was born and launched with a concert at London’s “venue of legends” Wembley. The UK shipout for the album was 22,000.This was followed most recently by a sell out live show in Los Angeles.

His licensing expertise and love of technology led to reigniting its long standing relationship with Simon Cowell when he realised that Cowell’s incredibly successful TV show The XFactor would benefit from a totally interactive online “karaoke” service which was subsequently sold to Fox in the US. This is now known as Myspace Karaoke. He personally changed the face of music licensing by negotiating a ground breaking blanket license with PRS/MCPS for online licensing.

This wealth of experience is currently also being put to good use in the Movie Trailer world by his involvement in the rollouts of major Hollywood movioes as well as supervising the musical content for the programming of Film 24 (sky channel 157)

Martin now spends over half his time in Malta, helping PRS For Music develop local writers and to educate them towards International markets, he has also developed his own music library aimed at the advertising movie and TV markets.

Internationally renowned for his industry experience he has the enviable position of having solid contacts within almost every major music market and City of the world.
