Dann learnt his trade alongside one of the most successful Record Producers of recent times, Steve Mac. Starting as tea boy, the team have enjoyed enormous success in the pop genre including something like 38 number 1's including 4 US chart toppers.

2009 ended on a high with the worldwide release of the much anticipated Susan Boyle debut album (selling in excess of 9 million units within 5 weeks) which Dann engineered. The team also scored heavily in the UK charts with JLS (Beat Again) and The Saturdays (Ego).

Dann's writing and production expertise extends from classical crossover to contemporary pop and onto Rock (his preferred genre) and he uses his talent for memorable hooks and chart focussed sound appealing to the masses and extending the barriers of rock itself. His writing is developing with co writing projects with some extremely established major writers.

Dann is currently working on a solo project (fitting it around his duties on the new Susan Boyle album and the latest JLS single) that will be released digitally (worldwide) and physically in the UK via Universal.

His latest writing success emerges with the re-emergence of ASIA. Their first album for 25 years (Phoenix) contains Dann's song "Orchard Of Mines". Not only is it satisfying to have someone cover a song, but to be the ONLY song to appear on an ASIA album not written by the band. Released on EMI AMERICA and being highlighted in reviews, this could be the beginning on a truly "classic song"
